“Sure.” she said flatly, still upset, but hiding it well.
“You know, first impressions matter, Ross.” she muttered sternly to her senior.
“If you ruin my first chance to give a good impression, you’re going to be down one assistant.” she sipped from the cup, resting it back on the plate.
“I’m sorry, Tilly! But, the boss isn’t even around… Actually, no one’s around but us. Huh.” Ross replied after realizing, they they were the only one around… until, he walked in.
As soon as Giovanno neared the entrance of the main hall, the smell of bread wafted in the air. He caught sight of the buffet table with all kinds of food displayed for everyone to eat. A look of approval appeared on his face. It was a lot better than bread and cheese.
He turned to his phone just to check if there were any more incoming messages from his subordinates, before placing it back into his right pocket. It was time to dig in. As he strode into the room, he noticed some of the members were already in the hall. Giovanno would normally mind the commotion, but he was too hungry right now, and it wasn’t as if there was a meeting or an assignment at that moment. Hell, he was just pleased to see there were actually some early birds around the villa.
09, 33, 49. “You’re all early.” remarked Giovanno to catch everyone’s attention.
Turning to the gentleman, tapped her finger on her cheek in thoughts. Ross examined him from top to bottom, “Oh my, your still as fashionable as ever, Mr. Duvalli! It has been so long! Sit, sit! I made coffee~” Ross gestured at the elder gentleman, turning to Nukk, she responded back, “Well, then you won’t mind if this sir here gets your cup then? I’ll make something suitable for you to drink then.” smiling, as she went to place a cup of black coffee in front of Giovanno’s seat. Would you like some sugar with that? Ross then came out with a cup of warm milk tea for Nukk and sat herself down with a cup of coffee for herself as well.
“Well, since no one else is arriving, shall the early birds get their first meal?” Ross commented, “I would say a little prayer, but we’re all hungry are we not?” she chatted on, grabbing food from the table. The smell of food was becoming more unbearable to wait on, Ross dug in, as elegantly as she can… stuffing her mouth with small bites and swallowing it all whole. “Oh! Right! Mr. Duvalli, Ms. Kõiv, this is my assistant at my shop, Natasha Elizabeth Collins. I don’t think you three have met properly, right? She may be shy, but she’s a wonderful assistant! You can call her Tilly for short!” Ross spouted on while she ate… Fortunately, not with her mouth full.
